Almost finished

I have had a lot of fun quilting my Antarctica quilt. It gave me the opportunity to have a really good play with my quilting group's new Simply Sixteen machine. The swirls around the Marina'a Compass represent the stormy seas and sky of the Drake's Passage. The pebbles in the Snow Flake blocks are for the pebbles the penguins use to make their nests. They are known to steal from their neighbor to grow their nest quicker. The outer border can be interpreted in two ways. A very dear friend thinks the pattern looks like birds, I did the pattern with ice carvings in mind. It works either way for me.
